Saturday night was the opening reception for Martin Hsu’s Crakens Botanica at Fabric8 Gallery in the Mission. This solo exhibition is on display from June 23rd to July 16th, 2012 and I personally am very excited to see it come together having worked with Martin on the official Crakens.com site (where you can go to stay up-to-date on Martin’s latest works).

Martin describes the Crakens as a group of hybrid misfits who are “the winners of evolution” having both a cute and a monstrous side to them. Find out the back stories on Crabby Bear, Octobunny, Puffer Puss and the rest of the gang on the Crakens character pages but the best way to get to know these crazy critters is to come down to Fabric8 and see them in person!
